QUIX - A LEGO alternative makes

I came across recently QUIX. QUIX are the building blocks of the company KLIX from Italy. Make the LEGO ® bricks after almost perfectly and then resell them at a cheaper price, but the quality is very good. In particular, the quality is better than other known alternatives such as LEGO blocks or mega LEGAO. QUIX other hand, has left a good impression on me.

offer
KLIX The company provides building blocks in sizes 4x2, 4x1, 2x2, 2x1 and 1x1 in the colors red, blue, yellow, green, black and white her. After I made contact with the company, I was informed that the company plans this year, new colors such as beige, gray, transparent, introduce light green, purple and neon colors and 2012 also introduced new forms.

compared with LEGO
The stones are exactly the size of the familiar LEGO bricks adapted and thus they can be almost indistinguishable from the originals and they are also compatible. Only the lettering on the knobs is different, with only one out of two knobs is printed with text. At first glance, you see no difference between the original and a copy of LEGO QUIX.
There
price
In LEGO ® is a mixed set of LEGO bricks with 650 stones for 22,99 €. If there is a 750 QUIX stones set for only 19,70 €. If we add to that is cost 750 LEGO bricks theory about 26,50 €. This saves almost 7 €. With LEGO but the stones come in a cardboard carton, at QUIX you get a really good plastic box to which one can use as a normal box for everything else.

The test
I have my own views the task of a completely independent test of the QUIX to make building blocks. I have already presented the offer and price. Below is praised also the customer service. Although I get a free set of does not mean that I am of the firm attributed. I do it the way I've felt the stones and a few negative points I have noticed. But more on that later. So here's the test.
At first sight, out of the box I noticed no major difference. When compared with the LEGO brick to me a few things are noticed. Once the original LEGO ® brick was more round, so the corners and edges, but this is probably because the stone had already been in my boxes. He was just worn out. Recent LEGO bricks I have not. On the picture you can even compare. Links of the normal and right of the LEGO brick QUIX stone. Of course, it is striking that QUIX at only half of pimples is printed, but also falls only if one pays close attention to it.
it should be mentioned, has the stones do not QUIX 2x4 cross brace on the back of the middle cylinder, but this is only for new LEGO bricks of the case. The stability suffers excluded. In the photo are both without any cross bracing, but in comparison by pressing the two stones, one with and one without a crossbeam, the difference is very small and hardly to notice.
QUIX building stones in the same shape as the LEGO blocks and are therefore just as stable. They are also inspired by the material the LEGO. They are not as rubber-like, as you would like copies of other Mega Blocks LEGAO or used to. You feel 100% TIG to like real LEGO.
scratching in the boxes also did not happen. In addition I have done a little test. Then scratch stone on stone does not happen. With metal objects such as keys, scissors or knives, it's easy to make a few scratches, but this is also the case in LEGO.
What struck me is that the stones in the first few times put together pretty hard again parted. This was also the neuwärtigkeit. Meanwhile, it is like LEGO. It feels just like with LEGO, if one puts together the stones.
Now I also get to the promised Contra points. On each stone is a small QUIX Macke is from isolation. The bricks are made in such sectors. Each stone is like a leaf on a branch. If he is separated like this, there remains a small barely visible track. But LEGO this "problem" is. It is noticeable, not if you installed the stone in a complete model. You can not see. Watch it on it looks like a small hole in it, as if someone reingeborhrt.
Another negative point was that some stones at the bottom were a bit dirty in the box when I opened the box. They had brown mass on the side. Looked a bit like oil. Maybe there's a little bit during the production Oil from a machine dropped on the stones.
are qualitatively exactly QUIX stones such as LEGO bricks. You notice any visual difference is noticeable in construction and not whether just one or a LEGO QUIX infects stone. The stones are worth buying and can easily be mixed with your other LEGO.

Customer
Here I'd like to praise the customer service the company KLIX. When I sent an email with some questions to the company. I soon received a reply and the offer of a test set. My contact was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, he had once sent an email in Italian. Probably a mistake.

Conclusion
All in all I would say: QUIX is a great and probably the best alternative for LEGO. I myself would have no hesitation to tilt the QUIX stones in my LEGO collection. The difference is hardly seen and the quality is the same. The trendy plastic box by Quix is a big plus. If you look at several sets QUIX purchases can also save money fairly. In a set there are only 7 €, but do you make a bulk purchase saves you a lot.
